Born and raised in Marianna, Arkansas. Derrick LeMont earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Southern Arkansas University before moving to New York to following his passion to act. Derrick went on to studied and trained in the two year conservatory program at Circle in the Square Theater School. Since then, Derrick has worked in many off-Broadway houses and regional theaters; performing new works, contemporary and classical plays. Derrick has also appeared on many television shows and in several films where his intensity and charming demeanor finds him cast in mostly dramatic roles. Derrick will be continue his lead role in the second season of the wonderfully intriguing web-series entitled Compersion directed by a dynamic up and coming NYU trained writer/ director Jackie J. Stone. You can currently see Derrick in a recurring role on the first season of Black Lightning streaming on Netflix. Derrick plays Mr. Lewis a concerned father of a Garfield High School student. Derrick is a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association and Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artist. |
